2011 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

The 17th Annual Buttermilk Days Celebration will be held this August 25th - 27th on the Buttermilk Lot across from St. Monica’s Church in Bardstown, Ky.

There will be music by bands and DJs all day, prizes, games, food and craft vendors booths Friday and Saturday and good down home camaraderie. This FESTIVAL is open to the public and will expect to draw around 3000 people. It is Bardstown’s best version of a Nelson County Homecoming. It was designed to bring the Bardstown Community together, young and old, black and white, male and female -- AND IT WORKS ! ! !

SATURDAY, August 20th

• 3rd Annual BUTTERMILK DAYS OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT at Woodlawn Springs Golf Course. Shotgun start at 9:00 am.

THURSDAY, August 25th

• Festivities begin with our 6th Annual HOMEMADE WINE-TASTING CONTEST and WILD MEAT COOKOUT on Thursday, August 25th from 6:30 - 9:30 pm.

FRIDAY, August 26th

• Vendors on the Midway and Food Court will be open 6pm til Midnight.
  
  
• Preliminaries for Buttermilk's Got Talent Contest

SATURDAY, August 27th

• FAMOUS BUTTERMILK BREAKFAST from 7 - 10am. Sausage, bacon, country ham, eggs, fried potatoes, SOS, pancakes and syrup, “hobo coffee”, juice and much more!
  
  
• MISS BUTTERMILK  PAGENT -- held at the Nelson Co. Civic Center on S. 3rd St. Sponsored by the Kentucky Festival Pageant System. (more info >>)
  
  
• 3rd ANNUAL CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT. Saturday afternoon. 30 team limit. $20 per team. Cash prizes awarded.
•  Dirt Bowl Basketball Tournament held at WOODSON-ROGERS PARK on South 4th Street, For Middle School and High School Students. Saturday and Sunday.
• 2ND ANNUAL BUTTERMILK STREET CONCERT: Featuring many local and regional artists as well as highlighted by the: FINALS OF THE BARDSTOWN GOT TALENT CONTEST
Vendors on the Midway and FOOD COURT will be open from Noon til Midnight.
